Hi everyone just to let you all know I received my decision letter from the DWP the other day, it says that they can only carry on paying me the standard rate for mobility, and not able to pay me anything for the daily living component at the moment,
So nothing has changed with my PIP claim and its awarded until 2027 which is good though.

Hi everyone Just had a conversation with someone from my local Citizens Advice and they are going to help me with doing a mandatory reconsideration for PIP, he also stated that because I no longer get the daily living element my wife can't claim Carers allowance which has caused an argument between us and shes definitely blaming me as this is the second time they haven't awarded me the daily living element, so hate to know how much she owes in over payments but we didn't know this and the DWP never said anything to us, anyway hes going to phone back on Monday and we are going to go threw everything and go from there.

Hi oldrocker. Sorry to hear your wife can't get Carer's. I find that unfair. Surely if a person is a Carer, they should get that payment, for all it is, and should not depend on a benefit that other person may or may not be getting?

Hi gordo,
Thanks and yes I agree with you that no matter which element of the benefit you are receiving that someone who cares for you should still be able to claim carers allowance, anyway will update when I know more.
Update: I read the award letter wrong I am getting the daily living element but not the mobility element, but will hopefully get CAB to help appeal this and have both.
