Tesco Chief, is being rather honest in this interview he gives to BBC. The Government response to this crisis is to tell us not to hope for a reasonable pay rise! From BBC News.............. www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-60279019

I shop at Lidl and I've noticed a few items increase in price, tinned fruit, Jam and teabags to mention a few but the price that caught my eye was the increase in the price of jam up from £1.09 to £1.45 this morning, last week it was £1.15 a 6p increase but today another 30p. I'm glad it's one of the items I seldom buy.
I suppose it's because of the sugar it takes to produce the jam that accounts for the increase. The way many items are increasing in price will soon mean that it could be cheaper to buy cheap cuts of meats and veg rather than buy food items that contain sugar added to the item, not natural sugars within the items.

Yep, and healthier. Ever heard of Ralfy ? He reviews Whisky on Youtube. He confirmed my opinion of Queen Margot from Lidl. An effing superb whisky and their cheapest. But guess what. They seem to be replacing it with something called Balmuir. I bought a bottle and it's an inferior whisky. Here is Ralfy's review in case you missed it previously.

That was a truly damning report on LIDL.

A long read but being unemployed is a better bet by the looks of it. All of that will be in the past soon as Smart Supermarkets are about to take over. You can only get into one with a special App or Card. Cameras follow your every move from then on. The shelves are weight sensitive similar to self checkout so know what you've taken. You simply fill your shopping bag almost as if you were a shoplifter. Your card is automatically charged as you go. Then off you go.

Due to the scrapping of all Covid precautions and the fact that most people are too pig-ignorant to wear a mask or keep their distance to protect the vulnerable we’re simply not able to use physical shops. It’s certainly not by choice as we spend a fortune online. We have Tesco, Sainsbury, Lidl and Aldi here. Lidl was always our favourite because :
1) Variety of products 2) Quality of products 3) Overall Value 4) Quality of Service 5) Cleanliness of store etc.
I’m really surprised about the Lidl write up. Of all the supermarkets Lidl here seem to have the happiest and the friendliest staff. They also have a reputation locally for being the best payers. The staff are consistently pleasant and helpful. There also seem to be a good number that have been there a long time. The fact that many of the staff are East European is possibly a factor. I’m sure this will change as a percentage of them will be fleeing braindead Britain in the wake of Brexshit. It’s a great shame.
Yes, prices are going through the roof! I wonder why?

Think anyone cares if we can’t get food. Therese Coffey really doesn’t give a sh1t.
