The Chancellor has caused ridicule as he claimed old computer systems prevents him raisig benefits! This is being reported in several outlets . It was raised on BBC News The World Tonight (Radio Four 10 pm News) near end of program at about 22:35 Hrs. A person was on pointing out just how old UK Govt computers can actually be, and it is not entirely impossible for those very old systems to stop at least some changes. However, it is still a bit far fetched to say it is entirely down to computers that benefits can't either be changed or raised. It is just yet another excuse, most of us would say. Wanting to cut near to 100 00 Civil Servants isn't gonna do anything to help matters. That will make things worse, and the unions are threatening strike action. While BBC News had it on the wireless, it doesn't appear online that I can see, just now. The National in Scotland also has the story. Here is the report from The Huffington Post (HuffPost UK) .............................. www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/rishi-sunak-defends-low-benefits-cost-of-living-crisis-computers_uk_627e4552e4b010453ae471d5
