This was inevitable as most Londoners are not Conservatives. Am I reading too much into it or did the Royals all look a bit miserable and possibly rather sad. My interpretation of all this is that The Queen may be more unwell than we know. Hope I'm wrong of course.

She’s obviously suffered badly since Prince Philip’s death 😞

HMMM. She even missed the Derby today when all sorts were specially laid on including all the jockeys that have ever ridden in her colours putting on the silks and forming a guard of honour, which Princess Anne took in The Queens stead. Maybe it's just her age and nothing more.

I didn't think she would go to the horses. I told a friend as much when She couldn't manage the church service, Friday. It would've looked real bad to skip the church service in Her honor which was the main event from the Monarch's point, but then show up next day at a horse race. It seems with hindsight, and a bit of common sense (which is quite lacking these days) given the age of the Queen, the church service ought to have been spaced out, say on the Saturday, or the Sunday, allowing Her time to recover from all the hullabaloo of the Thursday.
