Anyone with older paper £20 and £50 notes have 'till September 30th to either use them in stores, or take them to Bank, as they will cease being Legal Tender across UK in a few months time. This includes any notes from Bank of England, the 3 issuing Scottish Banks (always very colorful notes), and the Irish notes issued for Northern Ireland which see use in Scotland due to the coming and goings to and fro Northern Ireland. All these various Bank notes stop being Tender in UK on same date. After this date, these older paper notes can only be deposited at Banks or Post Offices. They cannot be used to buy anything, however. They are being replaced by the more durable "plastic" notes. Both older paper £5, and £10. notes have already been withdrawn in most places. So anyone with these notes will be best to take them to the Bank, or Post Office. from BBC News....................... www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-61895327

I put over £3000 of £20 paper notes into my account in July 2021 all the notes I have now are the new £10 and £20 notes. There must be at least £12,000 in my safe as I regularly take out a few hundred pounds to put in the safe.

Pretty sure there are people on this forum who are struggling with the Cost of Living crisis Termi. You going to accept applications for short-term loans?

Also look out for potentially rare 50p coins in your change as more are appearing due to the cost of living crisis. Folks that were hanging on to unusual designs are now spending them. For example I was just about to hand over a 50p in Cost cutter the other day when I noticed it was a "Flopsy Bunny"design. And as you will know "Flopsy Bunny" has a scarcity index of about 46. see here for more info; www.changechecker.org/category/scarcity-index/
