It would seem that from this BBC News report, a great many folks who are s'posed to get UK Govt. help with Energy (Electric) have yet to get anything. Also, I wonder how many of us are totally in the dark over whether we have actually had anything credited to our power accounts, as those who pay bills when they come in, have absolutely no way of finding out. The Energy suppliers have been utterly abysmal with information on this stuff, regardless of what UK Govt. says they should do! The fact we can be waiting up to 45 mins and more to get thru to some dude in South Africa (if with Scottish/British Gas) does little to help, The guys on the other side of the phone, at the other side of the World, have hardly a clue, either! Although this story relates to Scotland, it must be the same across all of UK as well. from BBC News (Scotland)...................... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-63838890

I must admit I'm mightily confused about all this stuff. I've logged on to my OUTFOX dashboard and there's no clues there that I can discern. I think they are just reducing the tariff. But how many of us can remember what tariff we signed up to ?

Here is a report on this situation from the Glasgow Evening Times.......................... www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/23334474.glasgow-highest-amount-unredeemed-energy-vouchers-scotland/The last paragraph gives out some helpful advice " .... Scots are also being urged to contact energyadvice.scot if there are any difficulties getting through to suppliers or resolving issues.
The team can be contacted on 0808 196 8660 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm), or through www.energyadvice.scot.." .................................................................................................................................................................. I wonder if there is a similar helpline for England and for those in Wales?

I must admit I'm mightily confused about all this stuff. I've logged on to my OUTFOX dashboard and there's no clues there that I can discern. I think they are just reducing the tariff. But how many of us can remember what tariff we signed up to ? I left OFTM in December 2018 after 11 months with them, they wanted £50 per month, not the £34 that I was paying them, as my smart meter had not recorded about £17 of usage on a second part of the meter, they were Total, ACT 1 and ACT 2, ACT 1 being the usage minus the ACT 2 reading as I had BG free time that's why there was two readings. When I left them they disputed the readings and in the end they ended up paying me £70 as the final bill was just £5.70 and I was in credit by £12.75. I'm now with Octopus and the recent energy bill support reduced my payments to a 6 months holiday as the £67 was enough to nearly pay my monthly electric and gas bill but I paid in £30 per month so that I wouldn't end up in debt, I'm now £288 in credit and the DD is £69 per month so my credit will be increasing for the next 3 to 6 months.
