It's the Grand National today and I like to have a small interest in a few at huge prices that could feasibly pop up. At the crazy prices i like Darrasso 100/1, Cape Gentleman 125/1, Hill Sixteen 80/1 and Fortescue 100/1 edit; fortescue did best finished 13th. the others didn't finish. further edit; Hill Sixteen sadly had to be put down after falling at the first fence. Maybe those protesters are right and jump racing should be banned, I don't know but I have often felt uncomfortable about it. The problem is these horses are bred by we Humans to run. If you just put them in a field and didn't allow them to run and race they wouldn't be happy I don't think. It's like some dogs are bred to be aggressive sadly. And who bred them that way ? Yes we Humans again.

Hi Phil. Personally, I think the fences (hedges) are a bit too big and a bit too wide, at the Liverpool track. They could at least have them made smaller. I think the protesters making a commotion during the very first part of the race, did affect the horses. So while we have our concerns about this particular horse race, the way the animal activists went about things, probably did more harm than good!
