Hi guys my son currently gets PIP and ESA support group. He gets Disability premiums on top of his ESA because he's on both high rate care and mobility PIP.
The problem is his PIP has come up for review. The forms have been returned but there must be a delay as it's been a while. His disability premiums on his ESA have stopped though now until they complete the PIP review. Is this normal and if so will it be backdated once the PIP review is complete.
Hope that made sense.
He's still getting his PIP during the review process just not his disability premiums on his ESA.

I would phone up the DWP to inquire about this, first thing, Monday. I know they do these reviews, but it seems strange the ESA bit has stopped.
Also, don't know if you sent form back by Registered Mail, but its a thing I would always recommend, tho not everyone can afford to do that as it costs over £6.00 to use!

If he's still getting PIP then they shouldn't have stopped his disability premium on his ESA phone them and complain. It's the DWP's fault if they cannot keep to a time limit on an award and he should be paid as if he's still getting PIP, which he is until the DWP say otherwise. I would always use a tracked postage even though it's over £6 it's only every 2, 5 or 10 years you will receive the form have to send it back it also says that they cannot say it wasn't received as the DWP have their mail opened for them by the royal mail and then sent on to them and it will be signed for by someone at the opening unit.
