I'm due my PIP renewal in a bit over 9 months as the 2014 report said at least 10 years. I get the enhanced rates so in April that will be over £737 every 4 weeks, £9,584.90 per year. My condition hasn't decreased it has got worse, I had a stroke in December 2018 and was in hospital until the 10/2/2019 but didn't notify the DWP so I still got my ESA payment every two weeks.

Supporting the long-term sick and disabled into work 5.22 Individual Placement and Support expansion – The government will expand access to Individual Placement and Support (IPS) for severe mental illness, an employment support service within community mental health teams in England, to reach an additional 100,000 people over the next 5 years.
Some who on the ESA component of UC could end up having to buy equipment if they are forced to work from home and I could see many employers not paying for things that the person needs in order to be able to work from home, for example a desktop PC and monitor and possibly a mobile phone if they are doing a call centre job from home. Many might have a PC and the employer could expect them to use that but will the company stuff they put on it spy on all their personal stuff sending it back to the employers tech department for them to go over? Those who work from home would expect the employer to contribute to things like the heating but they possibly won't saying they were in the place using the heating before so it doesn't make any difference to their monthly bill.

The suggestion that Disabled folks can simply all just work from from home, is preposterous. It is an exceptionally simple minded and naive way of thinking. Not everyone has the skills to work computers and do calls for example. As for "supporting" sick and Disabled, well, we know it is not actually about that at all. This has everything to do with Govt. wanting to save money on Social Security, just so they can cut taxes.
And those funds for tax cuts today, ought to have been used to put more money in to Public Services that have been cut back these past 13 years, vital ones like Police and Fire, for example, to start with. I doubt these tax cuts will do as much either for Conservative fortunes, or the the UK economy as much as the tories hope.

I grew up in a poor household and working from home brings back memories of the sorts of jobs my mum used to do such as putting greaseproof bags into their post bags and making costume jewelery etc. Me and my sister used to help with these when we were kids.

It would appear just as I have said above, these new Tax Cuts, are at the expense of Public Services, as spending that should have gone to these, have instead been used to make these all grand Tax Cuts, and which have already been made near to useless for many as Energy costs are set to rise, and in January, of all the months to see such an increase! from BBC News................... www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-67505811.................................................
