Hi I've been asked to do duty duty in march have major lower back problems and have trouble walking for any distance, also its painful to sit for any amount of time as i have to lye down to relive the pain plus im on tramadol pain killers i task the max amount in a day even this doesn't help much. I have filled in the letter explain that i need a carer when i go out, this is my wife and photocopied my medical records to prove my disability and have asked the doc if i can get a letter to get me out of going to it as it would cost us a fortune on taxis as this is how i get about. Thanks.

You should be alright Joe to be honest with you they should get the message that you would be unreliable as a result of your disability. Why would they make you do it in those circumstances, they would have to stop the Trial as a Jury member couldn't attend that day due to being incapacitated. I did it once donkeys years ago and when they asked a second time I did the same as you and I've not heard from them ever since.

Hi Joe. Folks with severe medical conditions usually get exempted without too much bother. Once they get the appropriate info, and Doctor letter etc, they tend to excuse, and also to keep a person off the Jury register, too.
